Sullen Green
Sullen Green was conceived at least 20 years ago, an idea for an RPG that follows a group of youths who find themselves mired in the awful secrets of the small town of Sullen Green.
Unfortunately I have lost the artwork that was made back then, but the concept has remained quite clear in my mind.
Graphically the game is a top down isometric plain. I originally made each screen with flash, then modified screens in Photoshop to give them atmosphere. Since I have dumped Adobe, and Flash no longer exists anyway, I am building the stages in Blender 3 (Last stable version on my aging mac). I am using BabylonJS as the base game engine. This is a big change from sprite based development but I have worked with WebGL in the past, so I have some clue of what I’m doing.
The game is inspired more by Friday the 13th (NES) than Final Fantasy. The game plays out as a mystery to be explored.

Bust-Up
2D one-on-all fighting, sprite-based side-scrolling with an advanced fighting system. Getting a good fighting game is not easy, graphically and programmatically. I can think of a game like Clay Fighter (MD) which was pretty minimal visually but still worked as a fighter. Bust-Up has a 16-bit style of sprites and backgrounds. A key to the game is intense animation required for the sprites as there is a wide range of character animations.
There are two fighter to choose from and possibly 2 player mode.

Castle Climber
Castle Climber is a 2D platformer with very simple, 8-bit graphics. It is a mix of puzzles and agility with a bit of combat thrown in. The concept is quite simple but I always have trouble creating compelling puzzles, likely due to some terrible mental deficiency.
The game follows Sir Gustover, a lonely knight who must ascend the castles of Lithya and vanquish the un-dead squatters who inhabit the dark corridors and rescue the unappreciative princesses locked in the towers.
Key to the concept is a certain amount of farce and satire, the futility and the unappreciative peasants and lords are a constant gripe.
